General Information

We wanted to try making a cheeseboard from wood and corian to test the accuracy of our Carvey and… because our moms asked for them as gifts after we made a demo piece :P

Hi everyone!! Thanks for your interest in this project. Since it is g-code based and we ran it on a Carvey, it should work if you use the same tools. However, this project is really just a demonstration of what’s capable and hopefully inspires you to try something similar :)

I like the joinery. Did you use glue?
John McWhirter
Evan and Katelyn
Thanks! Yup, and the half aspect of the joint has a large surface for the glue to work on instead of just a butt joint :)

Let me clarify, I save a copy from Sandbox and the copy won't let me modify...

Hi Lewis! It's g-code generated by Fusion 360 instead of a fully easel based design so you can't modify it in easel, sorry!

Thank you. I am going to attempt to make this tonight. I'll let you know how it goes... fingers crossed.

So I load the file, set the home position and start the carve. However, the z-axis moves higher before beginning the cut. Any idea why or some direction you can give?
Lewis Garvin

Raising the bit to clearance height is part of the g-code so raising the bit before running the g-code just runs it in the air. To prevent Z axis from raising I click confirm home position, then back, then use last home position.

Any chance you could post your F360 models, interested in modifying the design and carving out designs for certain family members
