Simple wooden dust boot for 1/2" wood and 2" or 3" brush material (from Grainger) and 1 1/4" thin PVC pipe (6 1/2" length). A small metal bracket between the boot and the tapped holes in the spindle mount is used to keep it in place.

He burgundy material isn't being cut, it is part of my miter sled for my table saw. I jut used it to make the boot more visible.

How are the bristles attached to the wood? looks good.

Epoxy is used to embed the bristles in the wood. In order to get the bristles to curve easily the material is scored on one side with a knife.

Bristles came from McMaster-Carr. I would get the 3" version.
I would redesign the dust boot with a quick-release/attachment mechanism to make it easier to zero the cutting head over the material being cut.
