A Wenge/Spalted Maple magnetic knife holder

Inlay parts

Cut the design out in easle, one part cut out with a fill cut and the other with an outside cut.

Glue up

Glue the two parts together and then use a planer or sand to get the two wood cuts level.

Add magnets

Use a forstner bit or easel to cut out holes in the back of the board to place the magnets. Then glue them in place.

Very creative! Any chance you could add a pix showing details of your vacuuming system? I'm planning on using a Makita router and these "lock line" tubes, but, the devil is in the details of mounting and connecting to a vac. Thanks!
