1

Get Carving - Base

30 minutes

Once you have your material, fire up your X-Carve and get going.
For step 1, insert your 6mm MDF, run at the recommended settings using a 60 degree V-bit.

This should take around 30 min.

2

Still Carving - Rails

30 minutes

The rails come next – use the 1/8th inch spiral bit to carve out the rails from the 16mm MDF board.
This should take another 30 min or so.

3

Sanding, Paint and Assembly

30 minutes

Give all parts a light sanding to remove any rough edges.
Paint to engraved areas, to add some depth and texture.
Glue on the side rails to the tray.
Once the glue has cured, one can do a final sanding and apply a clear sealant to the finished piece.

4

Hand it Over

1 minute

Hand it over to the intended user (in this instance wife) and load it up with her EDC.
