General Information

Our new dog ate two remotes. Made a holder and swore my family to a blood oath to keep the remote in the holder at all times. Made this out of scrap Coyote (22mm) & Candlestone (6mm). The remote profile is very specific to this type of remote: bit.ly/3R7hGHx

Determine Overall Height

1 minute

If you want the top of the remote to be flush with the block, aim for the sum of your stock heights to be about 24mm (1inch).

2

Cut Profiles

45 minutes

There are two profiles to save time/waste. You could cut this out of one solid piece, but you’re going to make a lot of dust. If you use similar materials/settings, expect to cut both parts in about 30-45 minutes.

3

Glue & Sand

Originally I was going to secure the profiles with some glue + dowels, but I got lazy. There’s a decent chance tomorrow the dog will have eaten both the new remote and the holder anyway. So I just sparingly used a little bit of clear gorilla glue, then clamped, waited and sanded everything.
