General Information

These days, it seems everyone has a favorite version of a Thankful Tree, or jar, or some other way to show gratitude around Thanksgiving. I love the idea of chalkboard! You can use it over and over again, kids can do it, and it’s super trendy right now. ;)

Gather Materials

For this project, it’s easy to go to your local home improvement store and buy a project sheet of chalkboard for around $10. You could also paint a board with chalkboard paint beforehand.

Set up and cut

15 minutes

Double check the thickness of the chalkboard you are using, and adjust the depth and material in Easel accordingly.

Secure the chalkboard to your wasteboard.

Carve!!!

Sand

5 minutes

For a nice clean finish, lightly sand the edges to clean up any small chips.

DONE!

Almost done! Just head outside and gather some sticks, put them in a vase, attach some string to the leaves to hang with.

Ask your family or friends what they are thankful for and write it on the leaves with a chalk or a chalkboard marker!

Done!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!
